once again, sorry

i have a feeling i will be typing these words quite often on the blog..."i'm sorry." i have been extremely busy since i have arrived home from vacation. the minute that boy slipped a ring on my finger, wedding planning started full force. like always, i pushed schoolwork aside due to the excitement. this has only resulted in added stress and anxiety. so, for the past week-and-a-half, i have been busting my bottom catching up. i am glad to write that i will be caught up by friday and ready to cheer the UGA dawgs on to victory this saturday for georgia/florida weekend (blog post on this event coming soon...after i post some pictures from the mountain trip ;))

dream come true

i am engaged!

{my ring}

i have been waiting for this day as long as i can remember. apparently my fiance is a better secret-keeper than i thought because he has had the ring for the past six months! all this time i had been telling people i was not expecting a ring for at least two years.

here's the story...

T and i left jacksonville on saturday, october 6th, 2012 at 4 pm after i got off work. we headed straight to banner elk, nc; this ended up being an eight and a half hour road trip but we made it safely, so that is all i cared about. when we arrived to sugar mountain around 12:30 am we stopped at the gas station at the bottom of the mountain, i called my mom to let her know we arrive safely and T went inside to grab some snacks and beer. we drove up to the top of the mountain where his grandmother's house is located, let Dooley out to explore and began unpacking the car. i wanted everything unpacked so that we did not have to do anything the next morning. after unpacking the car and putting on warm, comfortable clothes we decided to have a glass of wine out on the porch. it was late (about 1 am) and freezing outside, but our excitement of finally arriving had not worn off yet. as we sat on the porch T kept looking at me and saying how much he loved me. we ended up finishing our glass of wine and decided to go inside and refresh our drinks. i started looking for wine glasses (we were drinking out of plastic cups) and i saw T walk over to a low cabinet. i walked over near him and noticed him down a glass of wine 2/3rds full (i thought this was peculiar, but i was not suspicious of anything). T ended up pulling a bottle of champagne out of the cabinet and said something like, "should we drink this instead?" i replied, "how did you sneak that by me?"...that is when he reached back into the cabinet and said, "if you are surprised i snuck that by you, then you are going to be real surprised by this!" he pulled out a little green box, got down on one knee, and asked, "will you marry me?" i literally died! i asked him if this was a joke and then told him i think i was about to faint. he jumped right up and grabbed me and looked at me and said, "is that a yes?" i said "yes!" and cried happy tears. i then made sure my dad knew, which he did. my mom did not know, which was good because there is no way she could have kept it a secret. i was completely shocked and surprised, but i am on cloud nine and in L.O.V.E!

monogram love

here in the south we have a deep love to monogram just about everything. some of these items range from stationary, bed linens & towels, door mats, coolers, cups, koozies, hats, decals, jewelry and even toilet paper (the list could go on forever). while i was reading Taylor Morgan's blog she mentioned a new app she stumbled upon...ladies (& gentlemen) i bring you 3Initials! this app lets you create a monogram background on your phone, just one more item we can personalize and let the world know it's ours.

{3initials: my initials}

{monograms}

"my sheets are monogrammed, so is my silverware and pretty much everything else i own. my rule is, if it's not moving, monogram it."
